Pros
I've never (in my 10 year history) worked for a company that truly cares about its employees and cultivates mutual appreciation and support amongst them. I was recently hired in 100% remote role and still feel like I am part of a team with a core mission. At Dell you work hard and smart (love that, too!), but that truly just isn't the extent. Work life balance, wellbeing, inclusion, supporting the communities in which we live, giving back, providing access to employee ran diversity resource groups, celebrating our differences, providing ample family leave for growing families, focusing on productivity over micro-managing the clock--doing as they say, and saying as they do. In truth I have never worked harder in my entire career nor have I been so motivated and inspired to do so. They also focus on employee career development and offer opportunities to gain nearly any level of experience you are looking for, while also providing ample opportunities for advancement. I truly hope to be here for a very long time, as long as they'll have me! Final thought, Michael Dell is a rare gem in this space--so much respect and appreciation for him and how employee facing he is.
Cons
It's a large company so it can be challenging to navigate. On a positive side they focus more on having experts in niche areas, on the downside that means when you need support in different areas you will need to do some digging to find the appropriate resource. Thankfully (probably mostly thanks to the culture) my teammates are more than willing to offer guidance.
