Pros

benefits are ok but are not the best. They are constantly changing them and it seems to keep getting more expensive for the employee. I guess it's a job.

Cons

If you have a family say goodbye to them now because they will not see you again. They work you to death. Management from the Perot merger is disconnected and cannot manage people. They will continually loose good people because HR has the mindset that if you loose the account loose the people as well! Upper management is also directing a 50/50 mix of US to off shore workers. Last year it was 70/30 in favor of US workers. Next year it could be 70/30 in favor of offshore workers.

Pros

Many opportunties to learn on a daily basis. One can move between jobs laterally, although there is little opportunity to move up.

Cons

Salary Compression will continue to be a theme. There are few advancement opportunities. Outside consultants determine the future of the company. Bottom Line: Not Good

Pros

Good line of Servers, Desktop and Laptops

Cons

Being the Hardware Company, Dell actually does not know anything about Software Development, its phases and Involvement of every entity to contribute to release. Shame, Dell India R&D call themselves Software R&D center. more than 50% of Engineers are freshly picked out from third grade engineering institute and most of them are stuck with who are not quite competetant to do quality job outside the DELL INDIA. So result is A BAG FULL OF BS Loads. On Software Development side, there is no deep understanding of how product should be released and what are factors to be quallified as RISK Factors. Senior Management just worry about the timeline withouth even trying to know the complexity involved in. Most of Senior Managers have their own agenda and no one come to an conclusion and the result is escalation..not just escalation but the threatning.... I think it's high time for Michael Dell to think that if it is good time to invest in Senior Management in India. Working Environment Sucks.. They treat engineers as slogging bull. In 2 years of time, I just found 2-3 rewards given to those engineers who are close to their managers. No Flexibility, No work life balance. I just feel bad for those engineers. I would recommend that who is really serious about their career, Please Do Not even think about Joining Dell.
