Pros

- Nice campus - Reasonable prices for food at the cafeteria - Onsite Gym with a low monthly payment - Preferred parking for carpool and vanpool - Nice new offices if you are lucky and are in one of the new buildings

Cons

- Too many people playing POLITICS. - Too many unproductive meetings - Too cheap and stingy. They CHARGE for people to attend the company picnic! This is outrageous! - No telecommuting - Bad management that focuses on metrics that measure the wrong thing. - Too much micro-management - Too hierarchical and old-fashioned. For example, they have "special parking" for some employees even though there isn't enough parking onsite. Another example is that Manufacturing employees are not provided with the same items on their kitchens as compared to the "white collar" employees. - Bathrooms near manufacturing areas are OLD and DISGUSTING! So unsanitary for a medical device company! - Extremely LONG hours. Cannot keep up with workload unless you work long hours and additional hours from home after you arrive. - Too many so called "Managers" that are bullies to their employees. - The labeling department is a CUT-THROAT and TOXIC place. Managers and supervisors are bullies. This is the reason for the attrition! - Dress code is old fashioned.

Pros

I feel supported by my supervisor. My coworkers are smart, talented people.

Cons

They are forcing everyone to work on-site in the middle of a pandemic as cases are rising each day. Even those who aee productive and can work remotely are being told that they have to return to campus. In addition, they have a ridiculous schedule where you come in every other day so you end up having to pay for daily childcare as some weeks you're on campus 3 days and the next week it's only 2.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We are listening, and we want all our employees to know, that while we have made efforts to reintegrate employees onto campus at a capacity of 50% or fewer (to allow for physical distancing), we also continue to monitor the current COVID-19 environment and consult with trusted medical advisors, local clinicians, and authorities to update our learnings and guide our reintegration decisions. Ultimately, we want to ensure we are taking the best steps possible to keep our employees safe. As just a few examples, we have implemented enhanced cleaning processes, require non-contact temperature screenings for anyone coming onto campus, and require employees to practice proper hand hygiene and physical distancing and to use face coverings. In addition, given the current environment, some schools starting virtually, and other needs, we have made changes to provide additional flexibility to support our employees and managers. We understand that aspects such as childcare have provided additional challenges for some of our employees, and we encourage you to share your specific challenges and needs with your manager so you may both discuss the best approach for your personal situation.

Growing resentment towards the company

Pros

Good pay and benefits. Campus is nice and big, with numerous on-site perks.

Cons

The pandemic has really shed light on how inconsiderate and careless leadership is - I am disgusted and frustrated. In March, everyone who could work remotely was allowed to do so - the health and safety of employees seemed important to leadership at this time. ELT has also noted that employees had been productive during these times, so none of our work was compromised. However, as a few months went by, leadership came up with a reintegration plan and decided to implement in July, forcing all employees to head back to work, completely disregarding each employee's type of work and living situation. Their justification? They proudly brought up the collaborative nature of the company and how we have lost the value of in-person meetings. Why force employees to come back when we are asked to practice social distancing and limit the use of conference rooms? Based of the alternating schedules they assigned to me, half of my team won't even be on-site on the same days as I am. Therefore, all meetings will still be held via Teams, so what in-person meetings are we supposed to have? They also claimed that their decision was based on "recent advancements in science and therapies" for COVID-19. What therapies? What advancements have we made? We do not have a viable treatment for COVID-19, so where is leadership getting their news? My work simply requires an internet connection, yet I am compelled to head back to campus, putting all the elderly individuals I live with at risk. When I explained this to ELT, they allowed me to continue to work from home until August, but were adamant that I come back after - no exceptions. This left a really sour taste in my mouth. They simply do not care about their employees and their concerns. It has made me resent the company and regret coming here.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Ultimately, we want to ensure we are taking the right steps to keep our employees safe. As just a few examples, we have implemented enhanced cleaning processes, require non-contact temperature screenings for anyone coming onto campus, and require employees to practice proper hand hygiene and physical distancing. Currently, face coverings are required with the exceptions of closed offices when employees are alone, or in certain limited, designated outdoor spaces that allow for distanced meetings or dining. While we remain confident in our on-site evidence-based safety measures, as we learn more information, we will adapt our campus accordingly. At our recent all employee meeting, we recognized that some employees will have challenges resuming an on-site work schedule at this time, and we encouraged employees and managers to remain flexible when discussing schedules and options. If you have not done so already, please discuss with your direct manager or supervisor what flexibility options are available for your current role.
