Good benefits, some great people

Cons

Incompetent upper management who have no knowledge of the audio space and who are doing everything they can to devalue the brands. And new management hires are following this pattern. Mean and negative management who use bullying tactics and routinely engage in unprofessional behavior. Employees are depressed and anxious.

Pros

I have analyzed Harman Connected Services in all aspects. You can relay and connect with below review . PROS: 1. Harman is a part of Samsung now, you can Expect some Samsung/Harman products worth 2k-3k for company anniversary or christmas. 2. Cultural Activities wise, HR Team headed by Archana is doing really great job. Activities like Birthday Bash, Night Marathon, Quizzes, Singing & Dance Comps etc will be always there, which keeps the spirit high if you take part in them. 3. Company gives Manager a right to provide Points to employees called BeBrilliant points (can be converted to BigBazar,Central,FastTrack vouchers etc) (Which you wont get unless you truely favour and impress your manager) 4. One day WFH is a company policy 5. Atleast a single digit annual hike is guaranteed ( which you wont get in most of the companies )

Cons

CONS: 1. Theres is only one biggest account in connected services, where you will be deployed 80% of the time and you will have to work in shifts always. 2. For DBAs, this account is nothing but a Waste of Time. No upgraded technologies, work you do here is JUNK. A smart 2 Year guy can efficiently handle all the work a manager can do here. 3. Management is the biggest Disaster here, A Senior Director will come to your place and chase you around for a simple work. Management is the SLAVE to the customer and NEVER EVER SUPPORTS the employee at times of escalation. 4. Employees are treated here like slaves, none of the concerns are heard and answered. 5. Every single guy at every Leadership level is so DUMMY and lacks common sense. 6. Level of Micromanagement in the DBA team is HEIGHTS. Manager will have watchdogs for you inside the team and every dog can bark at you. 7. Leadership level is so cheap and powerless here that, they dont even take the responsibility of addressing your issue. 8. Food Allowance - Removed. 9. Office Travel - You have to pay from your pocket 10. Health Insurance - You have to pay from pocket again. 11. Cheap Company eats most of your claims (Insurance/Travel/Final Settlement) and say we have only this much for you. 12. Internet allowance - Negative. 13. Transport department is a disaster. Cab drivers can command you and can show you entire bangalore even when you still stay near to office. 14. Managers very frequently says, you can leave, Project will still run.( Cheapest Dialouge a manager can say) 15. POLITICS is at HIEGHTS. Very difficult to cope up with and Manger is so DUMB, listen to his watchdog team alone. 16. If you dont favor your Manager, you are cornered and treated very low again. 17. Hiring HRs are literally thieves. They eat your joining bonus, your hikes, your relocation bonus every possible thing they will eat and will not give you even a penny. 18. HR Operations Guys are the most busiest People on the earth. They NEVER ever ever ever will respond to your Mails/Pings/Calls/Meetings. Nobody cares even when you escalate. 19. Even if you cry on a issue on floor here, nobody cares and says will take care. 20. Wastage of your precious time if you join here. 21. Always buys the cheapest Possible resource. 22. Your growth gets stagnant horizontally and vertically. 22. The list never ends!!!!!!

Pros

There are still some of the finest technical folks in the world on the payroll. If you're a VP at any other corporation, it'll be easy to get a job here. Just say, "Oh, your problems aren't so hard. All you need to do is...[Insert imaginary silver bullet here]". They'll pay you a lot of money. It's easy to vacation in your office.

Cons

No one in top management knows anything about the audio industry. Company is an ATM and entertainment provider for the CEO and his co-conspirators. Revenue generation by sales at any price and margin management by cost cutting isn't a recipe for success. Age discrimination rampant. Relentless focus on emerging market growth is a disaster waiting to happen.
