Pros

There are no pros now, except for maybe few lunch. But there is no such thing in life

Cons

There was a time when I joined when I thought this was a great improvement over my previous company. The first thing that made me believe that was the work culture and attitude of everybody who worked here. There was unity. There was genuine enthusiasm to work and grow along with friends But, from all the red covering this review, you can already start to guess that all of the things I just mentioned have dark undertones The management seems to be nice at first. They ARE friendly, in fact. Perhaps TOO friendly. They'll chill out and hang around like any other employee. But understand, they do not do it to be humble It is Impossible to talk about this company without talking about its fundamental ethics. Yes, like you've read in some other reviews, they really do treat lateral hires the same way you would treat the elaichi in biryani or the bone in your kabab The management has a doublethink or a double standard. They make a lot of sexual innuendo jokes casually. It's supposed to be okay. I mean, it isn't glaringly obvious. But it makes one squirm with discomfort and cringe. But somehow, some lame joke offends them. The logic behind this yet to be determined If you're a girl in this company, you'll have every creep talking about you. I'm sure the ones reading this will know who they are and they're numerous. It's just disgusting how this is taken to be the norm A VERY important aspect of this company that you should really know about is that nepotism runs rampant. Favouritism too. Some of you might start feeling inferior very quickly. When I joined, this company had potential because it was smaller and had actual talent. But now, it's filled with references/relatives/friends of some in the higher-ups. They've hired them blindly, significantly bringing down the competency of the organisation All the talents have left or are leaving. Obviously, talent and skills can't compete with blatant incompetence and nepotism. Beware of this process called RT though before you join. It is one of the wildest things I've witnessed in any organisation. It has no rules. It has no shape or form. You get appraisals/promotions based purely on some people liking you or not liking you or even if they prefer your teammate to you. Many a people can attest to this barbaric ritual. The politics in this company can rival that of the nation And oh yeah, it's true that they have had lay-offs. They hire in bulk. They'll fire enmasse. They will expect loyalty from you. There's nothing wrong in that. It's just that the same is not reciprocated

Thank you for your honest feedback. This sounds like a really frustrating experience. We strongly believe reviews such as yours make us understand how to address the pain points and challenges our employees face. I'm sorry you didn't have a more positive experience working here, but we appreciate the honest feedback. However, there are few points we can't agree with, especially about nepotism, hiring in bulk, differentiating lateral and campus hires. The correct facts are that: -out of around 700 employees, there are only a couple of cases (less than 10 cases to be precise) where employees are relatives/cousins. - we don’t hire in bulk and keep employees on the bench for a long time. We are also one of the companies which give the employees to choose the project out of the options available. - sexual jokes are not common and not encouraged among employees. We have well defined POSH (Prevention Of Sexual Harassment) and addresses if someone is found guilty. - there were no bulk layoffs. We though agree that as part of active performance management, we have involuntary exits after thorough checks. This was mostly after giving training, communicating the feedback and no improvement was noticed. Not just HashedIn, no company will want to lay off after investing in the employee. But it’s unfortunate that we have to make a difficult call as we don't see progress and the employee is not able to cope with HashedIn’s pace. - we have a very scientific method of assessing the employee’s performance. There are well-defined band specifications for each of the tracks and evaluation criteria. There are no chances of being subjective and tweaking the ratings. We are committed to frank and open conversations that are important in helping us to create an environment which we thrive for. Please feel free to contact us at hr@hashedin.com to have a personal conversation.

Not so good company

Pros

Pros can be only if you work from the company itself instead of going to a client location. It used to be a good place two years back. 1. They advertise their so called free food which you would loose once sent to client. So don't fall for it. 2. Flexible timing? Just go to client and you'll see.

Cons

1. Politics! Politics and politics. Company is full or favouritism where favourite employees are kep within the company , and everyone else is being sent to client location. And mind this thing, once they sent you at client location, all the perks are down to zero. They pay some incentive as a compensation but trust me, given the pressure, work load , travel time, no food, it's not even sufficient. 2. No care of employees once sent to client. Your feedback won't matter. And hashedin will continuously lie to you by saying they will do something but 0 efforts. 3. Salary is too low for freshers keeping in the view the amount of work they expect. Yoh can easily get 3x salary somewhere else if you do same work. 4. Now they are constantly hiring, and you won't even find proper place to sit. 5. Now they are moving to a new location which is the worst place to have a campus as that area is not good biologically. But still they don't care about employee's health. 5. Your colleagues will work just for 4 hours a day enjoying all the timing and food facilities at company , and you'll have to travel across bangalore and work for atleast 12 hours a day and that too without perks. And all they do it to pay soke incentive. Join this company at your own risk Better to go somewhere else and get paid more atleast. 6. Even on appraisals, they justa manipulate client location employee by saying he/she will get a better hike. But trust me , there's no diff in it.

Pros

free food, salary on time

Cons

Don't know about others but my experience are as follows: 1. Company works on hire and fire policy so a large part of your CTC is variable 2. unprofessional associate project managers, no understanding of projects 3. if u r good at shouting at others , u can be tech lead here, no other skill sets required. 4. u can't encash ur leaves if u leave or made to leave before 1 year 5. if u r women and manager is asking u to stay late, many times felt unsafe,no cab facility provided 6. one of the their core values is FUN, which u will hardly experience 7. No comp offs provided for work during weekends, managers explicitly mentions don't ask for comp off, I won't approve even if u apply 8. process followed here in projects is pathetic and depressing, u will get frustrated. 9. discrimination with lateral hires 10. dirty politics 11. laid off 35+ employees..... mentioning this so that later they don't come up by saying we came out of covid times with flying colours(Don't trust them as layoffs happened the same day, CEO mailed there will no layoffs in the company. )

Thank you for sharing the review and mentioning a few cons. -- Appraisal happens on both fixed and variable. The fixed component determines the variable component and an increase in fixed component automatically increases the variable component. - The variable component is on and above the fixed component and the total CTC/year approx is 14 months of the salary i.e 12 months of a fixed component and approximately 2 months of salary paid as a variable bonus. And it's not just on papers, we do pay it half-yearly. So it’s not true that a major part of the salary is a variable component. - CEO’s mail was to communicate that we had few involuntary exits as part of performance management. It was needed to ensure transparency which is a key focus of our organization and we strive to be as open and honest with our staff to share important information at the right times. Sorry to say that it is misrepresented in your review. It will be great if you can share your experience of work stress, the behaviour of the manager at hr@hashedin.com so that we can address them.
