Pros

401k and very nice office

Cons

Germany makes all of the decisions for all regions. Which has proven to be a disaster for the North American market. Thus far their businesses in NA are consistently trending downward. The lack of communication there is the worst I've experienced in my career. There are several people that I have met that going to be leaving due to the poor work environment. Pay raises are well below the average. A 2% pay raise is the best a employee can achieve. A director explained to me that Henkel is an excellent company to work for if you keep your head down, shut up and collect your paycheck but Henkel isn't for someone who has ideas to bring about a positive change to make things better. STEER CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!!!

Pros

I joined only 3 months ago; great people who without exception gave me a very warm welcome; good benefits; fun place to work; Henkel should be on the top of your list if you want to develop your career beyond more traditional career paths; this includes mobility both within the US as well as globally. You constantly bump into colleagues who had worked in e. g. marketing in one country and then transferred to entirely different functions or businesses in another. Mobility and talent exchange seems to be genuine part of Henkel’s DNA.

Cons

Governance: balance between global and local are work in progress but best intentions and awareness to further improve are palpable. On the benefits side: parental leave needs to be added.

Pros

Allows for some nice work-life balance. Working from home is frequently encouraged where need-be.

Cons

Low morale, long hours & unlikelihood of bonuses based on poor decision-making. Has created a culture this year of revolving doors with an expectation of even more people leaving in the next 3 months. Leadership (Germany) continues to make enormous mistakes that affect all. Incredible, astounding erros this year, and already mistakes made that will severely impact 2019. Ultimately it's difficult when you see so many talented people working relentlessly to combat decisions they had nothing to do with. To get monthly updates on how poorly we're struggling. Unfortunately, there truly is not yet end in sight. But we're trying!
