Pros

Flexible hours and able to work remotely. Work was easy to do and once you’re done you’re done and you can switch off and forget about work. Team was diverse and very friendly.

Cons

Not enough support to move up the career ladder. Would often post jobs and not let team know unless you are a ‘favourite’. People at the top are always white and have the privilege of moving up quicker while POC struggle to get management jobs.

Pros

Team and line managers were supportive and fostered a culture that helped me feel confident in my first job. Pay is relatively good for new analytical graduates. Workload was good, rarely had to work after 5pm and easy to use relaxed flexi-time system.

Cons

The politics were difficult (and probably have become more so after I left). Some managers weren't aware of impact of this. Also issue of Home Sec bullying scandal while I was there - really poor response from senior leadership
