Pros

- majority of people care about each other and trying to do great work - complex and interesting work problems to solve - cover travel/accommodation costs when working away

Cons

- too risk averse - creative problem solving can be stifled

Pros

Amazing colleagues. And I'm fortunate to have a lovely line manager. Work flexibility, good workplace adjustments available.

Cons

Our targets have recently gone up as of autumn 2025. It's extremely difficult to meet them. We are now either called or asked on chats by managers more than once a day if we're on target (getting decisions out) and asked to give reasons if we're not. Training and support is, I believe, inadequate for such a massively complicated role which is largely self-taught after the first stages of training. Morale is very low now in our DM unit (and I hear it's the same in others) and so for the first time in my life I'm considering leaving a job due to stress! Shame because the work itself is very interesting.
