Pros

A lot of flexibility in how, when and where I worked. My management was very understanding of how the team worked best. We worked hard when it was busy, but made the most of quiet periods too. Luckily with my role I had a lot of say in how best to complete the job, and ideas were always for improvement were always welcomed too.

Cons

Money isn't quite as good as the private sector, but a good work life balance makes up for this.
