Pros

The company allowed for a work from home policy after consideration of recommendations from employees.

Cons

Initially this was a great company who was so focused on their customers. I felt great to be a part of this team. Then they changed their systems so that we no longer accepted phone calls and emails. We were exclusively chat based. It was a disaster. Customers would send in a chat and it would take sometimes 2 weeks to respond and as an agent I had at times up to 10 chats at once with extremely upset people. They didn't seem to care anymore about customer service and if you read the reviews on Trusted Pilot you will see that many have lost faith in Hopper. They did a massive hiring in Columbia and Manila and asked for the staff to assist with training and then they did a massive layoff of the Canadian staff and they were quite heartless about it.

Pros

No Pro's at all, just a bunch of brainwashed hypocrites at hopper

Cons

Everything was a downside at hopper, shame on them on how they laid off their most experienced and loyal employees. They left their employees stranded just like they let customers stranded at all times. Now they are using people from Colombia and Manila to safe their joke of a company while in Montreal people have been laid off in the most ruthlessly, cruel way. Talent, experience and knowledge is not recognized.

Great Product, Better People

Pros

Hopper is innovating in a commoditized space. The product is user friendly and getting better every day. Users love it. The team is full of uniquely intelligent and capable people that happen to be a lot of fun as well. There's nothing cookie cutter about the crew. It's a small team though which means you'll have ownership and genuine opportunity for impact. Compensation and benefits are very competitive. Office atmosphere is casual and open. All together, it's a really great place to work.

Cons

There aren't any day-to-day cons honestly. It's a great place work. The hiring process is long which can be a challenge for a company in growth mode, but we all understand the need to curate the team. And it's a typical startup in that some ideas/projects will get cut, no matter how much you love them. It might sting a little if you've been working on it for a while, but conversion is king at the end of the day.
