      To learn, explore new technologies

      Cons

      No freedom to US branch to make decision or do anything else. HQ tells you what to do and you do it. No proper communication or database from China. They change the project and never tell you, while you are working on it. Takes employees as contractors, promising them full-time, but never make them full-time. Not a good work environment. Too much politics. Sudden change of company hierarchy. You will be stuck in chinese culture. People talk in chinese if you are in meetings. Very company growth oriented, Doesn't think about employee's welfare.

      Pros

      The locals have turned to each other to support each other morally to deal with employment at Huawei.

      Cons

      -They have a lot of potential as a company, however opportunity tend to be squandered away by poor management and very poor business sense. -The president of the US operation goes on these hour long rants about how Huawei customer should be "appreciative" about the half ass effort that Huawei has put towards their requests. -There's no work life balance, it's all Huawei all the time. -HR is involved with daily business activities, i.e. product proposal to customer, product road map, etc. -Out right lying to staff from upper management -Bonus are rarely paid out

      Pros

      Nice cafeteria with a Chinese or American choice for lunch. New computer every 3 years.

      Cons

      There is absolutely no structure to business practice. Organization charts change without you being notified that it is impacting your position and supervisor. Senior positions held tighly by Chinese ex-patz. Very little chance to escalate. Tight tight tight travel policy.
