Pros

job positions always open. easy and fast to get job.

Cons

Lidl could not exist in a country that applies its labour laws. Lidl basically sells the product to the consumer at half the normal retail price and its employees pay the other half. Lidl employees are not supposed to have a private life. Attendance at staff trainings and meetings are compulsory, as anywhere else, but unpaid. Pressure, humiliation and total control applies on every level.

Pros

No pros at all. Completely and utterly horrible environment to work in. Nothing good to say about lidl. Maybe money are good but you don't even have time to spend them. I started as customer assistant and was promoted to deputy store manager. There was nothing good about this job on every position.

Cons

Horrible management Horrible shifts Mobbing, bullying No work life balance at all Long hours Unrealistic targets I advice everybody to avoid this place at any cost!

Pros

Salary at this level is okay given the workload and seniority.

Cons

Luton RDC is totally mismanaged, they have overpromoted average “leaders” to management roles. There is no desire to improve anything despite being a relatively new warehouse. There is no health and safety consideration, poor work/life balance and a general disinterest in doing anything differently from how it is currently done despite data to the contrary. For a cost-reduction business they waste a lot of money. There is no role guideline for Shift Leaders and department managers do colleague level jobs without taking any ownership for high level decisions. It took 5 weeks for me to get a laptop to be able to actually begin my role, which had to be escalated to the Director to be resolved. In my 9 years of Operations Management experience this is the worst place I have ever worked. I lasted 3 months and resigned after surviving 8.5 years in Amazon in a mid-senior management role.
