Pros

The people. Lightspeed makes sure to bring on people that are passionate about what they do, so you are always at work with someone that inspires you, especially on the days where you need a little extra inspiration! They are also great at recognizing potential and there is a lot of room for growth.

Cons

The targets are very aggressive, and this is not a con. The targets are in line with our trajectory and desired growth, but I think sometimes we get so caught up in targets that we get a little lost in terms of work-life balance. That being said, I see leadership taking big leaps in trying to ameliorate that.

After all, one of our core values is to give customers amazing tools to empower their business. We can see that the retail market has been getting more volatile, so in some ways, it forces us to be reactive. However, we try to balance that with a forward-looking strategy. Thanks for your honest feedback. Luckily, we have great employees like yourself who can adapt to this ever-changing environment!

Pros

High energy environment, great benefits, beautiful offices, clearly defined company goals. You receive great training, and are equipped to succeed. Frequent company meetings and updates are a great encouragement to all teams.

Cons

Don't expect a regular 9-5 job if you work in any sales position. You are expected to put long hours, and leaving at a normal time (for most other companie) is frowned upon. Many are promoted due to favoritism and close friendships with management, and not actual leadership abilities. Lots of turnover in this area of the company if you don't hit your numbers quickly (3 months). The pressure is high, but so is the compensation if you succeed. Some love it, some hate it.

Thanks for your review. We certainly have an energetic and dynamic environment, especially within Sales. As you mentioned, it’s not for everyone. In any sales role, its typical to stretch the punch-clock mentality, as it enables you to earn more in your pocket. There is flexibility around the hours, and we have clear monthly targets, which make salespeople accountable on how they can achieve them.
