Not what it is used to be

Pros

Hybrid work is still flexible

Cons

Culture has taken a major downturn, with the departure of Jeff Weiner, the former CEO, it was just a matter of time. Company communications immediately started to become increasingly corporate and full of fluff instead of inspirational and informational. Now the culture is based off of flimsy metrics that change constantly because no one knows what to measure, leading to tremendous amount of decisions by leadership that leaves everyone scratching their heads. No longer a top tier place, teams used to have a start up vibe years ago, now it's just another corporate husk full of busy work, way too much process that adds no value, and full of people hogging work and not delivering on it thinking it will save them from the layoff machine. Just try to think of the last time LinkedIn actually released something noteworthy to the public and that should give you a clue.

Pros

Benefits and the people are great overall. Work life balance is great, but only until RTO becomes more micromanaged.

Cons

Senior and exec leadership don’t practice what they trained us to preach. Everything is a gray area. Pay isn’t the greatest to begin with. Our quotas were designed for 50% to realistically hit, and yet under performers are getting PIP or let go. Internal mobility is non existent. They stopped asking where you see yourself in 5 years because they don’t really care if you stay.

Sinking Ship

Pros

At this moment, their pay might be difficult to be beaten by other companies.

Cons

Sinking ship, incompetent management, dying morale, terrible infra, constant gaslighting. Any of those will make your life miserable here, let alone all of them. Leave asap if you care about your mental health.
