Pros

Good pension and good salary

Cons

They call it pace but I’ve worked in truly pacey environments before: when there’s a lot of output that actively contributes towards organisational goals. Here it’s chaotic and harried - senior and middle-levels delivering too much but it’s immediately forgotten and on to the next thing. People are scared of some of the top tree which makes for an interesting dynamic. Add some poor performers who are entitled and defensive and you see why a lot of people are working evenings and weekends and have that look - part exhaustion, part dread, part scepticism - on their faces.

Pros

Very few now they have changed flexible working

Cons

The recent announcements on the removal of Flexible compressed hour working is not on going to discriminate against certain groups but will put pressure on people financially in one of the toughest cost of living crises we have seen. Being told as a part time worker who works 8 hours days for 3 days to either come in for 3 hours on a 4th day or reduce my hours is not helpful. To be told that 7 hours a day only will count towards my working time and anything extra is just “part of the job” is a step back to the 70s and detrimental to mental and physical well-being. I thought I worked for a forward thinking company that values its employees but it turns out I don’t. Instead of celebrating being the 2nd biggest flexible working employer in the world we seem to take it as a sign we are too soft and decide to put in blanket draconian measures with no data to back it up.

Pros

Colleagues Nice offices Sharematch .

Cons

What was once a great place to work has long gone!! The SLT are living in a dream world! Constant restructuring which don’t allow for previous restructures to settle. People don’t have a clue 1 day to another what’s going on and are on egg shells about being made redundant!! All tech jobs going to India. They would rather get rid of year and years of knowledge and experience for cheap labour, with people who know nothing about UK Banking. Whole teams being wiped out and jobs being moved abroad, all because SLT make decisions about teams they have no idea about. I would avoid LBG at all costs, it’s an awful place to work!
