Cold calling and forced culture

Pros

resume builder, decent pay if you can play the game

Cons

forced frat culture. promotions based on sales ability not management ability. inappropriate relationships between management and employees and clients. No HR to report uncomfortable situations too, which happens because you're forced to drink and party a lot. There have been some really inappropriate dress themes, there's a lot of coercion from management regarding your work, personal life, and relationships. No free time whatsoever, your only friends are your coworkers. Every position is sales so no one knows how to use the product. Management forces you to write positive reviews on here when it gets bad. The things people are saying about execs disrespecting peoples religious beliefs is true. You have to convince people to spend their last dollar to buy your software to hit targets, even when you know they won't really use it or benefit from it. You give discounts if clients leave good reviews places. Meanwhile people are expensive stuff for their own apartments. This is all driven top down, so it wont change.

Full Scope of the Management Training Program

Pros

To give context of my review - I went through the full Management Training Program on the Client Acquisition side of things. This means going through the Sales Consultant, Sales Manager and Managing Director roles. Ultimately, I was with the company 4.5 years and have nothing but good things to say about the organization as I developed personally + professionally at a rate I never imagined. This led me to my dream job 6 years ahead of my expected timeline. Some Key Pros: - Product is world class and miles ahead of the competition. Makes it easy from a new business side to switch prospective clients from competing services. - Rapid career growth: Meltwater provided me with opportunities to move to 4 new cities and work a number of different roles with a number of different products/teams. - Invested career development: the company promotes based off of success and not off of time in the company. The leadership team provides consistent guidance and will teach you everything they know as they are invested in your success. - The People: everyone in the company is amazing. Very intelligent, passionate, competitive, and creative group that will push you to excel. More importantly you will develop some fantastic connections/friendships with your colleagues. - Culture: one of the most fun and dynamic working environments you can be involved in. - Sponsored work events: every team/individual success is celebrated after the hard work is put in. - Company vision: the CEO is brilliant and has a much larger vision of where the company is going. Rapid growth in media intelligence market has sparked the vision for a solid roadmap of what is next. - Compensation: the base salary is not high but the earning potential on commissions + bonuses can make for a ton of financial success.

Cons

If you do not want a challenging job and want a standard 9-5 this is not for you...the work life balance reviews are accurate. Must be willing to take and apply feedback. As mentioned in pros - the leadership team is invested in your success and will provide direct feedback to help you grow.

Welcome to the Boot Camp

Pros

First 2 months, you take home 50% of whatever you sell. If you are a corporate soldier desperate for a job, this ones for you Fast track to growth if you like to do internal PR, they will escalate your title for you as well Fun corporate vibes, young team with lots of team activities to show everyone is in it together Finish at 6 so you can go home early and reflect on your day and how you can improve/conjure up strength for the next day. Parties are great - sometimes disastrous enough to leave a 5 million hole in the organization

Cons

Forced PR - you have to be a witness to understand this Its a boot camp - classroom style hourly check up on your calls / catchups to ensure you are being productive Managers need to prove themselves so they "manage" you to show that they can be managers? You can get fired in an hour if you dont belong to the PR family You can promoted in 2 hours if you conform to the PR. Management & promotions are a joke Titles are escalated to empower call centre managers to feel like they are managing directors when they manage 1 full-time employee. No business ethics, forced timelines on clients to reach personal quota Fish fight for clients/leads
