Pros

- great career growth - your manager and team will work very closely with you to make sure you achieve your goals and will mentor you along the way - really fun "closing day" festivities! - potential to make some serious money if you put in the work - you meet some really great fun people who become friends! - promotions occur rather quickly if you're putting in the work and hitting your numbers

Cons

- A lot of emphasis on only hanging out with Meltwater people. It can be a little "cult-y" - LONG work days - you sacrifice a lot of your personal life in order to succeed there - People are promoted just for hitting numbers, so they don't always make the best managers

Pros

The culture is a draw. Meltwater has great health insurance and employee events such as an innovation day and frequent breaks for drinking events or games. There is also flexibility in working hours and often food is brought in (along with already existing snacks). Startup like feel.On the surface - a great company.

Cons

The drama. There seems to be a lot of silos and emotionally charges decisions from upper management, which is comprised of mostly sales professionals that have worked there for a few years that - to be honest are not qualified for the positions they hold (from an educational standpoint). This is part of why major decisions are poorly thought out and emotionally charged. If you have strong ideas and like to challenge the norm this is NOT place for you. Management bruises easy from suggestions from subordinates. And although there is a preconception of flexible work hours - the time you take will be marked against you.

Pros

The company's culture is really cool and there are a lot of room for advancement. You have opportunities to get a lot of work perks because apparently my office write everything off from snacks to beers. So it is mandatory to drink with the office every Friday. If you don't go... well tough luck with the team.

Cons

No work life balance. I get asked to go into work at 8am for a team breakfast and then get asked to stay behind for a team building event that starts at 8pm. Obviously from 5pm to 8pm you are working unpaid over time and then I pretty much will not make it home until 10pm from the team building event. If you bring up the issue you are basically threaten to leave because you didn't drink the "cool-aid".
