Great Company, Better Culture

Pros

I've worked at Meltwater for several years now. I've had the privilege of working my way up through many different roles. This is one of the great things about being here - I've been given so much growth opportunity. While I understand that this job isn't for everyone, because it is HARD work, I think I would have to search long and hard for a job that IS for everyone (unless it is getting paid to sit on a beach and even then someone would complain). The hard work is very rewarding and I've met amazing people at this company. You get out what you put in, and if given the chance... people should dive head first into this.

Cons

Base salary isn't the best in the market - but if you walk away after 12 months only making your base salary... you are doing something wrong (or have been asleep for 12 months). Can make a lot of $$$ here.

Pros

I just celebrated 5 years at Meltwater, and couldn't be happier at my career growth and opportunities. I started in the International Management program in our DC Office, and have since got the opportunity to work in Atlanta and now San Francisco. After 10 months with the company I got to manage a team, and within 30 months of starting I was managing my own office. I have learned more in the past 5 years than anything in school taught me!

Cons

There can sometimes be long hours particularly in the sales department. The compensation and upward mobility opportunities make the long days worth it.
