Where to begin?
If you aren't working in sales, you don't matter to the company whatsoever, and will be left out of everything, then criticized for not being a team player.
Every office is primarily a sales office, and you have to wear formal attire to cold call and email people all day. They play EDM and Techno music at the loudest possible volume levels, and building management is constantly bombarded with noise complaint requests from neighboring companies in the building. Clients will constantly complain about not being able to hear you over the phone, only being able to hear songs with lots of swearing and sexual references.
Claim they are diverse but roughly 99% of hires are white.
The non-sales portion of the company is a joke, with the focus and goals changing every 2-3 months. The internal software is a mess. There are constant changes to the UI that remove useful features for no reason, causing lots of headaches and stress just to complete simple tasks.
Because Meltwater only cares about sales numbers and revenue, salespeople are constantly forced to lie to clients, and make them promises that are impossible for support to deliver. This leads to angry clients, and client turnover. No matter though, because it's all about how many new clients they can get to sign up, not retention or satisfaction.
There are constant money issues in the company, yet sales staff are still given thousands in monthly stipends for happy hours and beer for Friday afternoon meetings.
Environment as a whole is just very toxic, with lots of managers who talk down to their employees. For example, taking an hour off to go to the doctor or dentist is highly frowned upon. To the company's credit, they actually did work to remove some of the more toxic managers, but it took over 18 months of reports before HR actually investigated and acted.
No career growth or raises unless you're sales, and even then, promotions are pretty much in name only.
