Pros

The benefits are good, there is a lot of stability and it can be easy to make lateral transfers into different fields. The company and it managers are generally very understanding and flexible of work/life balance issues.

Cons

No real career paths, company is disjointed - you do have to fend for yourself. There are over 10,000 Northrop Grumman employees in the mid-Atlantic - it can be hard to feel like you are part of big team rather than just on an island.

Pros

big company, many jobs. Company is outstanding as regards to work life balance and flexibility. Company wins many big contracts. Opportunities to work with lots of good, smart people.

Cons

very bureaucratic sometimes worse than working for the government - company seems very inefficient and for an IT segment doesn't seem yet to have it's act together. getting information quickly is sometimes a chore. seems to have a lot of reorganizations - typically they start the new one before the last one is complete.
