Pros

Challenging and interesting work , serving the war fighter is very personally rewarding. I have had the opportunity to do lots of travel. Also work has been very good at supporting a work life balance.

Cons

No respect from upper management. Treated like &$@! from all other sectors that are not global supply chain. No recognition for a job well done. Typically other functions get bonus' by claiming your work.

Pros

Don't have anything good to say about NG. Too big and can't manage themselves well any longer. Wrong values and no loyalty.

Cons

Have been working for gov't contracts for 30 years now and NG was the worst place to work that I have experienced in all these years. Absolutely no help with issues, constant restructuring, loss of benefits, lack of management direction, everyone worked 50+ hours per week and usually more, only concerned about $ and not employee satisfaction and I found that the organization that I was in (IS) worked to achieve mediocracy at it's best.

Pros

I worked in procurement and the people were great (not management though). Also there is a bar down the street to have a couple beers at lunch so you can get through the day. Pay and benefits were ok.

Cons

Basically everything. The company still thinks they are in the 80's. If you are a young person you will not be a manager for 30 years. Way too many levels of management and I do not know how most of these managers were hired. If you have drive and ambitious then say goodbye to it. Nothing is efficient, you have to get a signature for anything you do. Management thinks they know all and will not listen to the low level peasants of the company. There is a reason why Boeing and Lockheed are ahead of Northrop. Once most of the good old boys club of Northrop retires then maybe it will improve. If you are lazy and want someone to make terrible decisions for you then this is the company for you.
