Pros

This section was deliberately left blank.

Cons

Northrop Grumman is an HR disaster. Our buildings had severe OSHA issues everywhere ranging from toxic mold to noise safety violations. One time, the company hired a person to do security training for our team and there were at least three different racist jokes in it, and the presentation was only 2 hours long. There was blatant transphobia against a trans coworker. There were other cases of blatant racism. I saw a lot of discrimination against my female coworkers.

Pros

Good health insurance and other benefits.

Cons

Don't bother trying to apply to go up in the company. Jobs are posted but they already have their candidate they want. Just posted to make sure they meet the minimum candidates.

Pros

Well....it was a job and that's about the only pro I can list. Pay and benefits were not the best.

Cons

If you want to work a dead end job with dead end pay for a dead end company this place is for you. Opportunities for advancement were for all practical purposes nil and only open to friends and family therefore forget even trying...they already know who they want for the job! Entirely way too much emphasis is put on college degrees and not enough on merit and experience. What you end up with is a gaggle of people who are book smart to the nth power yet have no practical skills. Apart from that I personally saw them put people in positions that had scant or no aviation experience whatsoever over those who spent decades in aviation, especially in positions of aircraft inspection...and people wonder why I don't fly anymore! Only way to move up was to leave to which I did and now I have a whole plethora of advancement opportunities. I used to hear all kinds of stories from older (all of which now retired) employees how when it was just "Northrop" and when it was just "Grumman" they were good companies but nowadays not so much. I used to laugh it off but now I see what they mean.
