Laid back flexible work schedules work from home 100% of the time (not for most jobs, but yes for mine) Friendly and driven coworkers

Cons

Advancement can be slow Pay is average for technical work, you don't work here to get rich. Still old school companies, dress code, baby boomer-ran management.

Pros

The work is very laid back and not too fast paced. Many of the clients are patient and are very approachable at DHS.

Cons

Too laid back sometimes, many of the management and the fellow coworkers such as software developers are extremely hands off and any learning that is done is really done by yourself. This makes the learning curve unnecessarily steep and a bit slow and that in turn can lead to a lot of trial and error when working.
