Pros

Working with SF was a blast, great people, high energy, motivated to help businesses maximize the return on their most expensive investment, their people. Couple this with the SaaS model and you have a great concept.

Cons

Growing and integration pains as one would expect when a company is acquired by another. IMO too much time spent developing new bells and whistles and not enough time ensuring the ones already available work as expected. Never worked at a place where there was such an abundance of training material none of which actually helps one do their job. Feels like we just make this stuff up as we go, do in large part to the constant adding of the aforementioned bells and whistles. Don't get a remote job if you do come here to work, make sure you work out of a brick and mortar location, will increase your chances tenfold of getting noticed and promoted. In a word-frustrating.

Pros

SAP is full of really bright and ambitious people. It sets ambitious targets for itself and it's people. If you can survive in SAP, you can probably work in any company in IT. It is so large that it's very unlikely to be taken over, which makes it a stable environment in that sense. Perks vary from ok to excellent, depending on which country you are based. Company culture is moving from it's original German to a more American type of culture.

Cons

Tends to manage everyone and everything by metrics. Employee satisfaction ratings have been falling in recent years - the company is clearly trying to do something about that at the top level, with a lot of talk about work/life balance. However, this doesn't always transfer into reality in the field, where constant revenue pressures make that difficult to achieve. Career opportunities definitely exist, but job vacancies aren't always advertised internally' there doesn't seem to be 100% transparency to allow people to apply for internal promotions when available.

Pros

Great Product Still has a good brand name (not sure if it will last!!)

Cons

To many layers of middle management and management. Worst consulting division, all the good folks have left and only the old tired bunch remain
