Pros

Very interesting work and opportunities to travel due to the large global footprint. If you have the drive there are always people to reach out to and ways to learn and improve yourself.

Cons

Awful managers who make technical decisions with outdated or no experience. Sexism, racism and hiring friends/girlfriends are all things that were tolerated and done by managers and HR over the last year I was in the Montreal office at 7262 Rue Marconi. White males who agree with them are considered high performers especially if they're native Quebec.

Pros

French MNC, Big Organisation, many entities in Singapore

Cons

Worst company ever worked for, highly political with plenty of micro-managers around. Lots of airheads in the organisation that talks a lot but without essence. Hire & Fire organization especially in the Singapore International Operations/ SESG entity. You will be lucky if they pay you closed to your last drawn. If you are unemployed and being offered a role with them, do not be shocked to get 50 dollars below or above your last drawn. Sorry to say but you are unemployed - this is the mindset of the HR in this business and they will be very proud to save 50 dollars for the business in hiring you. Do not expect to find any inspiring leaders to motivate you or inspire you - there is none here.

Pros

Great engineers, forward thinking designs

Cons

Too much social engineering, mandatory adherence to policies that have nothing to do with your job, constant loss of employee benefits, lack of advancement opportunities past 10 years of employment, ruthless whole scale change of many levels of management in divisions when upper management changes, catering to specific age groups, poor overall direction for pursuing business between like business units, continual change of company image to the public, failure to adhere to corporate practices & policies relative to promotion and termination (based on how your manager interprets the policy), woeful support from Human Resources (its a 3rd party), STIP - Short Term Incentive Plan is like the old game of trying to find the ball under the 3 cups. Schneider Electric is the epitome of the "socialization" of a once great American company (Square D).
