Pros

It’s a great place to start your tech career. You get a lot of good exposure to several different technologies, platforms, processes, products, etc. The culture is also great, my teammates are wonderful and I made several friends here. I’ve even had some of the best managers in my career at Tek. Tek also has improved over the past couple years with their diversity initiatives and community assistance like the food pantry.

Cons

Massive layoffs (mostly MS’s fault, replacing us with CoPilot) with no severance. Tek can also be pretty disorganized at times when it comes to alignment with all branches of management, and there’s often a struggle with being transparent to their engineers. The metrics are very hard to meet and maintain. One 1* review could shoot down your overall score and there’s no way to repeal it, even if it wasn’t your fault and the customer was just mad at Microsoft, not the engineer.

Ability to grow and learn on the Job. Benefits are pretty attractive. Adequate resources available to help you with the Job Career opportunities are open to switch to desired role within. Diversity and Inclusion is highly encouraged

Cons

Salary a bit on the downside.
