Pros
Flexibility about hybrid schedule thus far.
Cons
My start at UBS was extremely haphazard and disorganized. I was not able to access the payroll to set up my direct deposit until the end of my first week, nor was I provided with any information about enrolling in healthcare or other benefits until a few days into the job. I did not receive an email or even an IM from my manager or teammates until later in the week as well. I was given no orientation materials upon starting. The one thing I was handed in person on my first day, was a packet about how to prepare my devices AHEAD of my first day, which I had not received in advance. The company does not provide computers or cell phones to their employees, but requires you to take up space and data on your personal devices for work, without any compensation for Wifi, mobile phone bills, external hard drives, etc. Despite asking direct questions, they were not acknowledged or answered. The firmwide DEI networking event I was invited to is occurring on a major religious holiday, which is frighteningly ironic. Invitations for training are all listed in Swiss timezone even if they are geared towards the US employees.
