Pros

Stability; good pay and unmatched benefits; promotion is up to you; perform a real mission.

Cons

Some career fields require frequent deployments; your can be called in to perform your mission at any time (as it should be); long hours and weekends for some of us; your a war-fighter...some might call that a plus ;)

Pros

The pay and the benefits are wonderful. In this economy it is nice to know that you have a job that you are not going to get layed off from. It is also very rewarding to know you are making an impact int he lifes of AF families.

Cons

Sometimes it seems that the leadership and servicemembers do not appreciate all the work that is done specifically for their benefit. Many people are living in the 80s and have the assumption that the A&FRC is merely a place for lonely housewives to hang out or ask random questions, the "base operator"....this is not the case! We are always busy!!

Excellent benefits, great pay/retirement and a job you can be proud of. Good family environment as far as living on base.

Cons

Lenghty deployments. Very career oriented, either be on the move or get out. Depending on current leadership, have to be "in the club" to get certain positions.
