Pros

very good for people to start their career

Cons

Almost impossible to get off an Assistant role. There is a clear divide between "Professional Staff" and "General Service Staff" HR rules make it impossible to advance from an assistant role to professional. It is very demoralizing.

Pros

Large organization with a lot of opportunity to find something that you're good at.If you're incompetent or hate working, this is a great place for you since you'll most likely just get transferred from departments doing work to some place where you can just hide all day.

Cons

Compensation could be better. Also, they really need to review their tax policy because United States staff members get screwed. They pay a "Staff Assessment" which is then used by the organization to "pay" their portion of the taxes. Meanwhile, you still have to pay your portion. Then, if you, God forbid, get a refund, you have to give it back to them.
