Constant Changes, Lack of Visibility

Pros

-BDR Managers are extremely helpful, they diligently support their team and will go to bat for them. They listen to concerns and show you they're making real moves to improve daily life. -Fun rewards (weekly contests for gift cards), team outings

Cons

Internal growth is very difficult. The feeling I had was that they would rather hire outside for higher positions, than work with current employees to advance their growth. Expect to be micromanaged on a daily basis, but for an "entry level position" that has to be expected. Would often receive "hey hop on a zoom meeting" at 4:50pm. You don't have the best tools for the amount of output they expect. It seems like they put political decisions ahead of what is best for the employees. The new director has been great, but it is clear her initiatives for the BDR zone aren't seen as important to high level leaders.

Pros

I loved working at Upwork and would recommend as a great place to work. The HR team really cares about benefits.

Cons

Upwork is very top heavy and managers get cc'd on all communications which prevent a lot of employee empowerment.

Pros

Smart talented people with almost no typical workplace politics. Flexible hours and unlimited PTO make it so you can actually enjoy some time off work. I also really like the company mission and the direction the company is going in after going IPO last year.

Cons

Would not mind some better lunch options but they are not bad. because of company growth, it is very busy right now, this is not really a bad thing but it can be stressful.
