Pros

1) My direct manager is great. She does not micromanage nor patronise me, she is trusting and she is ready to help whenever I need it. 2) Positive culture, friendly and approachable people. 3) Good perks (flexible working, contribution towards WFH equipment) and learning opportunities. 4) Opportunity for development within the company are real. 5) Good compensation scheme.

Cons

1) The role itself would be more pleasant if less commercial. 2) The corporate D&I messaging is too much.

Pros

Good pay and Good benefits. Solid work place tools.

Cons

Lots of re-orgs and restructurings across the board. Annual RIFs for better alignment of resources. If you are one of the highest paid in the group, look out b/c there is a good chance you will get the ax. If you want to move internally from one group to another it is really difficult even if the titles align. Recruiters are somewhat unresponsive and seemingly over-worked but far worse are the hiring managers who prefer outside skills and frown upon existing VMware experience.
