Pros

Leaving the company makes me happy. Some colleages were good.

Cons

Very bad place. French managers think they are smarter than other poeple, and everyone else is stupid. They wont listen to ideas from other people, wont change. Too much ego. Bullying. Racism; French people promoted beyond their skill level. Local people and foreigners not considered for high positions. Bad bullying, managers shout at people, revenge by managers against people they don't like. Salary cut for punishment without investigation. Not fair. Forced to work more than 7 days sometimes. No rest day. Illegal. No training or career path. Told to fake my "training hours" for end of year review so that company management could tick boxes. HR told people what to say in anonymous company survey. Not a true process. Annual confidential staff survey result were given to the management who bully staff, and search for who to punish. HR know this and not care. Not confidential; told lies to workers that its confidential. No training or career path. Internal basic training only, no budget approved for extra training. Dead end job. No future. about 1/3 staff quit each year due to unhappy working environent. Too much stress. Bullying and shouting at staff. Racism from french people. Don't work here unless you hate your life. Management and HR department know the issues but do nothing I could see; Don't seem to want to be involved and risk their position.

Pros

It used to be great, but now they’ve basically replaced the American executive team with French imports.

Cons

HR is simply broken. When you interview a candidate for employment and THEY tell you how bad the recruitment process is, that’s a terrible reflection on the company. With all the delays in hiring due to outdated processes and bureaucracy, candidates move on and you lose a potentially great employee. With all the problems, the new HR VP decided to focus on flexible PTO - the only purpose of that is to save the company money on the bottom line by not paying out accrued leave time. Any time taken off is HEAVILY micromanaged, so while it looks like a recruitment benefit, sadly that is not the truth.

Pros

You can get away with being lazy and insubordinate because management can’t afford to lose any more workers.

Cons

Pay is well below industry standard. Most employees find out they can make much more elsewhere, so they’re gone within their first year. If you do stick around, you’ll constantly find yourself training new employees, which means you’re always going to be doing all the work. If you get injured at work you’ll have to sit on a conference call for hours with a person who isn’t a doctor, so the company can try and weasel out of paying you. This creates a culture of workers that work through injuries because reporting it is a colossal headache. They claim to be all about this “safety culture” but really that consists of slideshows and e-learning. If you point out safety concerns they are ignored.
