Bad management, non interfering HR , carefree employees

Very easy work life. People stay in office for 4-5 hours only . Very good for women with very young kids
Cons
Really bad management. Specially managers and directors who have been very very long timers think that it is their own company. They work from home for several weeks in a row for silly reasons and many times don’t even inform the team if they are not in office for several days in a week. HR knows about those people but does not do anything about it. It’s an environment of “I scratch your back you scratch my back” philosophy. The managers and directors who are long timers have not even kept up with the changing technologies. They are waiting to be fired so that they can collect severance. For an employee who wants to learn and contribute in a fast paced environment, this place is a strict no. You cannot learn and grow in this kind of place. Stay away from long timers at Veritas at manager and director level. You will only deal with politics and do no work and get no rewards.
