Obviously part of the John Lewis Group so great company to work for - take care of their partners - good discounts, staff benefits and bonuses. Good online 'Partner Link' for online confirmation of holiday entitlement, holiday booking etc.

Cons

Frustrating sometimes for good quality, high-calibre, part-time staff to be subject to management by full-time, less capable junior managers.

-good pay if your young or un-educated(chasing your dream) -75% of the staff you meet are absolutely lovely and fun to get along with.

Cons

-People with more experience at the store think they are far more superior to you,and constantly(even after months of working there)annoying tell you the same tips and ways to do things just to annoy you. -management is corrupt,seems that just a bunch of university graduates just get shoved into management roles and suddenly think they are god.You get older managers that you just know rightfully they never had a enough balls or faith to get on with there life and leave the branch after a couple of years.Because of this you get depressed managers who are always in a bad mood and bringing a bad vibe to you and everyone else(apart from there senior managers). -Managers are never never never satisfied.You literally stock out the shelfs to the brim,you work as hard as you can to get all done,you are proud,Manager says"is that it"HOW DEPRESSING!
