Pros

-good hourly rate -bonus -training -probably much better then other supermarkets -you feel a sense of pride in working there

Cons

-few development opportunities and if they give you one it takes ages -slow in recognising talent -they expect a lot but not give much back in terms of changing your working hours, etc.

Pros

Discount, long service perks, clubs and societies

Cons

Management of Waitrose is poor, they have little regard for people’s health and fail to consider or make the most basic of adjustment. Favouritism and cliques are a huge issue. Understanding of the most basic human management functions are missing. Training is poor, you are lucky if you are trained on something once, even issues arise when they ask you to do it again months later having not done it in between. Staffing is always short, the pressure is always high and senior leaders are just as bad as the people managers and team leaders. Poor management and leadership from top to bottom.
