Pros

If you get stuck into the culture of the company, partnership and ethos, opportunity to succeed. Lots of benefits, added on top of standard type of job leading to staff caring more about the job they do and the 'partners' they work with. Fair pay structures with clear pathways on how to achieve pay rises, promotions etc.

Cons

Far too strict hierarchies with little room for manoeuvre, can ruin the image of everyone being 'partners'; management directs orders with no desire to be questioned on their decision making.

Pros

The employees are cared about, the John Lewis Partnership is great for that. The discounts are great and there are a load of additional perks to cash in on if you work here. Pay moved up quickly and started at a high rate.

Cons

Experience can vary store-to-store.
