Pros

Offer many training courses to improve your skillset. Healthcare plans are priced slightly better than other large companies. Team mates usually work well together. Add money to your 401(k) with matching program.

Cons

You are their most valued asset, unless their stock market price drops. Then they don't need you any more. Average annual raises are really small (like 1%). Higher up managers not as competent as lower level manager and employees. Good reminder that companies are not people/family. Your family doesn't kick you (and possibly entire departments) out when the stock market shifts. Lots of claims about pro-mental health, pro-diversity, pro-this-that. But see note about firing employees without warning when market share drops. Enjoy and learn what you can while you're there, but be prepared to be let go without any notice and not for anything you have done.

Pros

There is extensive training (1 month) and a 6 month rookie period where mistakes won't have the same consequences. Large company where you can transfer to other companies if necessary. They encourage upward mobility in the company, and will offer training and opportunities to help you become a manager or banker.

Cons

The culture is very much "the customer is always right". We take a lot of abuse from customers with little to no support from management. Customers could cuss you out and yell at you and be completely in the wrong, but if they complain you get in trouble. Customers with a history of cussing and spewing abuse are allowed to keep coming to the store and you are expected to keep serving them. Same goes for customers who flirt or are generally inappropriate. Even if they make you uncomfortable, you are not allowed to deny them service. Another con is that they can transfer you whenever they want, leaving you with the choice of resigning or changing branches, even if it's further away or otherwise inconvenient. High turnover rate. I went from the newest to the most experienced teller at my branch within 6 months of working there.

Pros

Healthcare is awesome! 401K match is 6% which I havent heard of in a while.

Cons

Ethics, Morality. WF will tell you the Corp Policy and then your manager will blackmail you to break it to get work done. The ERP systems change overnight like its a joke and production outages are 2 to 3 times a week. Its ridiculous, I am ashamed to work for them.
