Pros

some of the teams were good with fun atmosphere (not mine unfortunately) chance to work in another Wolt country great tools to work with office location looks good in your resumé snacks in the office

Cons

salary is surprisingly low.. very low. poor management chaos HQ's policy in Finland is great and valuable but the Hungarian team does not follow it, only on paper racist, sexist colleagues my first and last payment was incorrect because there is no one with HR or payroll knowledge (which was also surprising in a company this big) they do call you after working hours and also on weekends (forget your private life if you want to do your job well) the flow of the information is also very poor - you will not get enough information to do your job unnecessary meetings about the same thing every week, but without any progress bad meeting culture: imagine that you have 10 things to discuss and 1 hour to do this. They talk and talk to long and do the brainstorming on the "overall" meeting - which should have been done earlier - and every week you will only get to talk through the first 3 points.

Hi! We are sorry to hear that you had a negative experience at Wolt. While tackling tough COVID situations, we appreciate that the past few months has involved high pressure periods for all our employees and has required longer or more flexible work hours at times. We certainly prioritise the well-being of our people and ensure that all local HR matters are handled in accordance with our global policies and guidelines. Additionally, we have taken extra precaution during these times to ensure that every individual is well integrated with the team, especially during hybrid or remote working conditions. As part of our transparent and collaborative culture, our weekly meetings are intentionally structured in a way to ensure that our people have the opportunities to brainstorm and openly discuss best practices. This allow us the competitive edge in order to better serve our customers and partners. We strive on getting things done together and therefore appreciate input from all our team members. All in all, we definitely want our employees to feel valued and well-respected , so we apologise that you felt differently. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Best, Wolt Talent

Pros

There are still some OG good managers left but they are being crushed by HQ requests and changes. Really nothing stands out, just a boring corporate job with constant pressure.

Cons

Wolt used to be the best place I've ever worked at.. Right now it's turning into blue DoorDash (after the merger and Miki moving to Deliveroo) with all the awful US corporate culture that comes with it. We just had surprise layoffs (literally Slack disconnected even before team members were notified that they are fired) of people that were with the company for 3+ years and were doing a good job.

Wolt is such unique company where you are surrounded by generally nice teammates and in the next moment you are being gaslight and scapegoated
