The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Indeed
Interview
phone interview: HR asked me how I heard of this position, then asked about my previous work experience, & why I wanted to work here. HR then described the job’s role and told me i was a good fit and to fill out a skills assessment. The phone conversation was a very casual 20 minutes and HR was very willing to give tips on the next steps. The skills assessment just evaluates your grammar and customer service skills. I didn’t have to practice or prep for the assessment and it was fairly easy. That same day, I was told I passed the skills assessment and HR asked to schedule me for an in-person interview. A week later, I met with 3 managers (30 minutes each) and then shadowed an employee on the job for 30 minutes. Total time in the office was 2 hours. What threw me off is the interviewers don’t give much positive reinforcement while you are answering their questions. They all had a very stern faces (I think on purpose) and this threw me off. One of them even narrowed his eyes while I was answering which made me think I said something wrong. I thought I had messed up the interview for sure but later that afternoon, I received an email asking for 3 references. The next morning, I received a call from HR extending an offer and congratulating me. I’m surprised at how fast Indeed got back to me. Overall process was about 8 days from first contact to offer letter.
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
“How did you hear of this position?”
“Explain your previous work experience?”
“Why do you want to work at indeed”
(On-site)
“Explain why you want to work in client services?”
“What do you know about this open position? Can you describe the job’s role to me?”
“What would you like your ideal manager to be?”
“Can you tell me of a time your dealt with innovation in the workplace?”
“Can you explain how Economics can be useful in this position as a CS?” (I was an Econ major)
I applied for the bilingual client success specialist (with the mistake of not seeing the word bilingual) and was given a chance to have a phone interview. As I wasn’t bilingual, I wasn’t given the position and was told the my resume what really good and that I should apply for their normal position or their internship and that I would get an interview. I did those both and got denied both times. I wrote an email back asking what might if happened and was ignored. It’s not worth your time.
Great experience with my phone interviews for Indeed! The recruiters were pleasant and friendly and it felt more like a conversation than and interview. I’m looking forward to moving along in the process and hopefully working for the company.
