I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Marks & Spencer (Newcastle, England) in Sep 2015
Interview
first of all I took part in a online survey test, this was really easy and straightforward. Just remember that the customer always comes first. Upon arrival, I was taken to a interviewing room with one other woman who put me at ease and made me feel very comfortable. We read through the booklet together and I was told that I would be selling a alternative jacket to somebody, as the jacket they wanted wasn't in stock. It was really straight forward. I just asked questions like 'what was it that you liked about the jacket?' and 'What is your price range?.' I was then given a form to say what went well and what didn't, she read over that then I had a interview with the manager. She was lovely and the questions were very basic. We sorted over times and I then signed up for the job!
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Marks & Spencer (Guildford, England) in Sep 2015
Interview
I applied online and completed the tests, they told me straight away that I had been successful. I then booked an interview for after the weekend. The role play was about a woman wanting a specific jacket in size 10, but we didn't have it in stock so you offer her alternatives, or ringing another store or online purchase. You also have to mention what items they have on special offer and other things you can upsell to the the customer.
The role play lasted 10 mins and I was told that I had passed. They then asked some standard interview questions and told me that I had got the job.
