I applied for a Customer Support Consultant role at SupportYourApp and I regret it. They do not disclose the salary range upfront and waste candidates’ time by sending out lengthy video interview questions. You have to prepare, answer, and record all of these questions, which takes several hours, only to find out that their salary range is nothing but laughable and doesn’t compare in any way to the salary entered here on Glassdoor. They are willing to pay $5 per hour, which is an insult, as janitors and waiters without higher education make more money in developed countries. After I was informed about the salary range, I requested to review the salary range in light of my expertise and skills and asked to meet me halfway. I also noted that I was willing to negotiate further. However, the company replied with what seemed like an autogenerated response, not only declining my request but also unwilling to consider me any further for this role. Honestly, I’m glad, because it seems like I dodged a bullet after I read a review here on Glassdoor from a former employee, who called them out on hypocrisy and lies. My short experience seems to prove that that employee was right about how they treat candidates and employees as easily replaceable puppets and all the 5-star reviews seem to be fake or deflated. I would not recommend this company to anyone who values their time, skills, and dignity. Please stay away from this company, they are not worth it.
