I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Waitrose (Edinburgh, Schottland) in Oct 2015
Interview
Very positive experience. This was for a temp role over Christmas and the interview was one on one with no group aspect. Pretty informal with the usual questions about customer service etc. also had to write out a plan of action from a workbook on how you would react to certain situations within the store.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Waitrose (Daventry, England) in Sep 2012
Interview
The interview was set up as an application, group interview, group induction day process. There were around 12 candidates in the room. We were asked about our knowledge of waitrose and then asked to answer various questions round the circle about skills and ourselves. We then had to work in teams on a task and were asked to show our findings back to the rest of the group. The next stage was a group induction day where various activities and training was completed. Snacks and lunch were provided, and the staff were welcoming and friendly - overall a positive experience.

Interview
Applied online and did two/three tests online at the day of the application deadline day. Then received interview invitation 2 days later.
Had a 20 minutes 1:1 interview in Little Waitrose in Manchester. The interview was straight forward and all questions asked can be found in glassdoor interview reviews. The manager first briefly talked about the team and then started the interview by asking me to introduce my self.
