Pros

Good Salary and Benefits for most part

Cons

I am in HR and have seen the dark side of all things at Aristocrat. The Product, Finance, IT leaders can be an industry standard when it comes to being unprofessional. However, I think the blame only sits with HR. The entire HR Leadership team is filled with incompetent people who have being trying to find an excuse to save their own jobs - most times at the cost of the jobs of their own collegues. Its clear that CHRO has failed year on year and whoever had tried to stand up to her has been either asked to leave or were made to leave. There were lot of great people in HR who exited earlier this year due to differences with HR Leadership. the CHRO always seem to have a 'Favorite' person who will be in her good books for 2-3 months and then suddenly they exit or made to exit. This cycle has been going on for the past few years now but the incompetent leadership team is too afraid to take a stand.

Pros

There used to be a many, now they are are very few. There has been a marked shift in culture and priorities of the company in the last year.

Cons

VERY top heavy company. Way too many VPs, Senior VPs, MDs, infinite number of C-level officials when some of these people don't even have a single direct report! But requests to hire more junior staff - people who actually PRODUCE the games this company sells - is absolutely shot down. The company even has a CHIEF CULTURE OFFICER (LOL !!!) when there is no focus on improving company culture. Workgroups are severely understaffed to the point of being ridiculous but they keep hiring more senior management. The company made a billion dollars in profit last year but the yearly raises and employee bonuses were a paltry 1-2%. The senior officials simply do not care about the staff. Its all about the profits, push to do more, produce more with lesser resources. Weekend work is considered absolutely normal and 12 hour workdays are heavily encouraged and very often demanded. The tech stack is OLD, they use C++ in this era, and no work from home is possible because they still use the age old ways of work where one has to be tethered to their desks. The inter-department fighting is insane! Blame game and gaslighting is very common within the company.
