Thanks for leaving a review. As noted in previous review responses, we have noticed the increase of reviews from the Bangalore office. All reviews are being reviewed by the regional People team Manager as well Guru to see where we need to address the issues these reviews are bringing to light. In regards to salary, a complete review was done last year to address regions/groups, with salary adjustments as needed. All employees should now be in the 75% band, which means that you salary will be higher than 75% of other people with similar titles/functions in your region. Once you factor in bonuses as well as the RSUs, the total compensation is quite competitive! -Rick C. Social Recruiting Manager

Pros

Salary slightly higher than average for role. Sabbatical every four years very good. Holiday entitlement good. Nice casual dress policy.

Cons

Hard to understand grading system especially for lower grade roles. Very limited opportunity to move up grades without changing to a really different role. Little flexibility of working hours.Bonus and RSU's much lower than in past years. Internal communications within teams poor.

Thanks for leaving a review, as well as your over 10 years of service to ARM! ARM's success is due in part to employees like yourself who have helped shape the company to where it is today. Regarding internal grade descriptions, this is transparent and published to all colleagues, which can be found by doing a search for "Grade Level" in the company intranet. Employees do move up in grade without a change in role, but skill development is required to advance. This is gained through on-the-job experiences and individual initiative. In addition, formal learning sessions are available around career advancement and career aspirations are an encouraged topic of discussion between individuals and managers. I would recommend taking a look at the Talent Development portal on the intranet for more information. Personally speaking as well as with many others in the business, most everyone agrees that working hours are quite flexible, as we place a lot of trust in the employees to finish their work. If you do not feel this is the case, I would suggest having more frequent communication with your line manager, as ultimately, it is up to him/her to decide, though with increased communication comes trust between both parties. On RSU's, award levels have not declined compared to years past. The bonus structure mirrors ARM’s position as a growth company. If you are referring to the actual stock price, that is something that is out of our control, though it has consistently increased year over year. Please do ask your People Team Business Partner if you have more questions, as we are here to help! -Rick C. Social Recruiting Manager

Great exposure to the industry

Pros

ARM is central to the silicon industry and is involved in "everything", though IP timelines can be rather lengthy. As such it is like having a crystal ball for the future. Great opportunity to have a view of the world.

Cons

Once a company comes to dominate its market space it begins to shift focus inwards - away from the customer and towards politics. Who is the competition and where is the source of hunger?

Thanks for leaving a review! While we have a strong presence in the market space, we continue to grow both by development of products as well as acquisitions to strengthen the ARM portfolio. The shift inwards is needed, as the processes and needs of a 2000+ person company is drastically different from that of a 4000+ person company. As such, as we will continue to see how we can improve internally so that all employees can contribute their best to the company. -Rick C. Social Recruiting Manager
