Pros

They pay you a salary (:

Cons

Where do I start: - Unpaid training - No flexibility in negotiating client sites, even in extenuating circumstances - When on bench, the training they put you forward to is nothing short of a 'Debrief'. - As you go through training they state that they have a significant amount of clients within major cities (this is a lie), I only knew of two candidates out of a pool of around 20 that were in a city centre. - When on client sites, much of your job description would be more relevant to a role of an admin staff. - Management has no concern of the novus wellbeing, any discomfort you may have would be sent to the recycle bin.

Thank you for your review. The Novus Graduate Training Scheme is an industry specific, recognised, training model offered by our IT recruitment business to help graduates to gain comprehensive IT skills to assist them to become job ready and able to enter the job market at a higher level than normal entry level across Capita’s client base and client operations. The training is free for all participants who complete the training successfully and then go on to be employed in a role and complete two years employment. The training is also provided free of charge to those who successfully complete the training but cannot be found a role within 90 days. The Novus scheme is completely separate from any of Capita plc’s corporate internship, apprenticeship, graduate or direct entry schemes. All these corporate schemes involve the employment of the individuals by Capita and we always pay at least the legal age related wage rate across all of these schemes. We do not offer unpaid internships or apprenticeships.

Pros

The work life balance if the biggest pro to this job. It allows you to work around your lifestyle. The management team are supportive. Clinically, there is a huge support network for you when writing your reports. CPD is plentiful so no need to worry about revalidation as a nurse. I really enjoy working for Capita and mixing my clinical skills with the corporate side. The training is the most comprehensive you will get as HCPs. An induction of 5 weeks that is fully supported by a training team, coaches and managers.

Cons

It is very hard work at first and your managers are truthful with you when you start on your training. Once you understand the job and what your doing, the same as any other job, it is great.
