Pros

Free granola bars sometimes in the office, horray!

Cons

Everyone I've worked with has no personality. So much corporate language, no one has any personality, everything is always good and everyone is always "happy", and management is apparently always right and has the best intentions in mind. Fidelity also sends out surveys about everything but never listen to feedback. For example, they're making everyone go back to work even though no one does (although very few admit it to suck up to management). Gotta get back that "office culture", right? Upper management never answers questions in company meetings and instead gives vague, political-like answers. Pay is low and benefits are VERY average. Other companies offer so, so much. This place will suck out your soul and personality.

Disrespectful work environment

Pros

Pension is good. Only need 3 - 4 hours/week on coding

Cons

Disrespectful work environment. In Enterprise Cloud Computing. One Chapter lead likes readying books. He believe everything in books. He doesn't respect any existing work; doesn't respect others' opinions. He refactors everything and forces everyone to use his opproach. Senior management sees his style is innovating and promoting his behaviors.

Pros

Fidelity provides a very competitive compensation package but the benefits are best in the business. Benefits like a 7% 401k match plus 10% profit sharing is hard to beat. Medical benefits, loan repayment, PTO and the Charitable match are also unique.

Cons

I worked at Fidelity for close to 20 years and the culture has shifted very dramatically to micro management, what have you done for me last week culture. In relationship roles your expected to produce unrealistic goals from existing client base while being compare to other reps receiving new clients with money in motion. Expectations presenting annuities is also concerning as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER. Too many good people leave sales and relationship roles to other roles in the organization due to burn out and which does impact the clients. FC roles are no longer a destination roles but rather a stop to some other role or outside the organization.
