Pros

You will certainly learn the value of hard work at Meltwater. Managers plan fun outings and celebrations.

Cons

Please be aware of the patterns of behavior at this company. Look at the spike of positive reviews on the SAME day in Feburary 2015. There is no individuality at this company, and no independent decision making within Client Success. Clients are managed according to a schedule pushed on to you by upper management, which is solely focused on renewing clients as early as possible. Client Success is essentially a fancy word for SALES. If you are looking for an actual relationship management position, and to be respected by your clients as a high-value consultant, this is not the role for you. You will be seen by most clients as an annoyance. This originally stems from the way prospective clients are treated during the sales process.

Pros

Good lower level team members who strive to try and achieve positive work-life balance "Unlimited" PTO privy to manager approval

Cons

A disconnected executive and HR team who are so far from removed from the needs of their employees. It's clear most people are thought of as cogs in their sales machine. Company leadership pushes for a return to office without even putting together a solid plan. Promised weekly lunch was not put together in time for employee returns. The company would rather spend money hiring celebrity keynote speakers than spend that money on its employees. Hired as work-from-home and then were told that we'd be required to be in office with no financial compensation. This is not an equal opportunity decision, a mandated return to office explicitly limits some employees from being able to work effectively, This amounts to a pay decrease over the last three years. A slap in the face to all of your employees and shameful leadership decisions reeking of bad micro-management, Slashed benefits when compared to the companies which Meltwater acquired. The new contract has so much less coverage for basic medical needs and the cost has been passed on to the employee.

Good people, sh*t structure

Pros

- Great work culture and colleagues - Flexibility - Understanding bosses

Cons

- Lack of increment - No clear direction or career progression - Company is structured to focus on sales and neglects analysts, in return leading to analysts having to do more work/clean up mess due to overpromise from sales. And this comes WITHOUT any incentives or pay raise for the analysts. In fact, margins are taken from analysts' side i.e. sales get to hit their targets and keep their commissions, all that at the expense of the analyst team.
