Pros

Coworkers are all kind, hardworking, helpful, and accessible. Health benefits/401K are great.

Cons

The CEO is an egomaniac. He wants to be seen as altruistic, but is far from it. BTS, he belittles the women executives, has fits of rage, discredits anyone who comes to him with a different opinion, has eliminated positions without severance, and has made stereotypical comments about team members ethnicities. He once made a joke about one manager in front of the entire team for not finishing college. It made everyone uncomfortable. All of the upper management act like they're in a cult and will not challenge his ideas. They all say they value diversity, but it's all group think, which is why so many people leave. During the pandemic, he froze 401K matching, but then would brag to everyone in the company meetings for months about how the businesses were doing better than ever. For the Bay Area, salary is extremely low.

Pros

Work you care about. Nice team members.

Cons

You will be overworked and never get a genuine word of thanks for everything you are doing. You will hear in meetings that the company is growing but no, people just quit/get fired/laid off non stop. Colleagues disappear overnight and no one will say anything. People quit because they can't take it anymore and/or get laid off all the time. Then you're just told they're no longer with the company but YOU get to take on their responsibilities with no increase in salary. Then when you're doing the job of 3 people and the quality of your work starts to suffer, you get berated for not being on top of everything. The CEO is an egomaniac micromanager who has to have everything his way and control everything. MAJOR FOUNDERS SYNDROME! And everything is focused on his religion. He brings in people from his religion to talk to us all the time, but the way he treats people makes staff not ever be interested in religion. You will also be discouraged from taking a vacation. There is a lot of outsourcing to cheap workers overseas and that makes the US staff feel their jobs will disappear and you have to be a workaholic and available 24/7. When people say they are overworked and don't want to get emails all night and on the weekend, it's justified by saying the overseas workers are on a different time zone.

Pros

- Coworkers are great - Lunch/snacks is provided -Reasonable about leaving for appointments

Cons

- CEO is very concerned with how he comes off and his reputation. Big ego! - Constantly getting pressured to vote for our company as the best in a constant string of contests (spoiler alert: it's far from it!) If you don't vote, they will personally ask you if you did or not. Again, big egos at play. He is more concerned that his company looks like a ethical and wonderful company, than he is at actually creating one. - His religion and religious beliefs made many of us very uncomfortable and feel very excluded. He puts Baha'i quotes on all the company merch. - Very little room to grow unless you're baha'i yourself.
