Pros

I worked more than 3 years and here are cons Nice and friendly co-worker, everyone supportive, Lunch snack provide (even lunch provided by CEO mother in law and food is bad). company pay hundred thousand dollar to support his mother in law, so bias

Cons

Chartity donation for CEO religion and his tax deduction Spent luxury trips (personal family trips) in company cards No work life balance, so tired and stressfull even before covid Very few PTO days (15 days and some self-care), it is hard to take PTO since workload is a lot, easily work 12hrs per day Company and CEO wants to promote best place to work but it is a shame that nobody wants to vote. Next day CEO is very upset and ask everyone need to vote haha. It is not work life balance and NOT best place to work, true voice want to raise Employee uncomfortable to involve CEO religion (Bahai) in all company activities. Who is Bahai will be quickly promoted.

One Planet Group Response
3y
We have read your review, and would like to respond to some of the comments you made. Our CEO incorporates his values and faith within the fiber of the company. He is very open about how his life experiences have shaped who he is as a human and as a leader. Born in Iran, he was forced to flee at the age of sixteen due to persecution for his religious beliefs. As a Baha’i, Payam believes deeply in equity, unity, and diversity and inclusion. One of the many things we are proud of at One Planet Group is the many organizations we have supported over the years. We welcome you to check out our Foundations page to learn more about our involvement in charitable giving, Service Days, and organizations we love: https://www.oneplanetgroup.com/foundation To address a more minor point, our offices currently provide catered lunches from local vendors. Our aim is to provide our team with nourishing and healthy food options via lunch, kitchens full of healthy snacks, and team activities throughout the year. - The People Team

Pros

Incredible people who care, big hearts, great intentions Service days, an opportunity to give back during service days each year (although this seems to have been drastically cut) Company donates to charitable causes Collaborative, no toxic competition. Everyone honestly wants to help each other Opportunities to wear different hats and stretch yourself. Stimulating and fast-paced Some managers are great, you can really learn from them and they really care

Cons

Not very organized or professional. Most of the leadership team spent their career here so they don’t know any other way to run a business or realize how bad things are. Burn out culture, chronically under resources and overworked. Expectations are unreasonable and CEO ideas are derailing. Attempts to address burnout like calling mandatory PTO days for “self-care” with very short notice (probably for financial reasons), sending chocolates, and a wellness newsletter doesn’t cut it. Very tone-deaf. They don’t hire additional staff when people are clearly at capacity because of costs or if they do they’re 12 hours away because new hiring is almost always overseas. Seems to invest more in other companies than their own. Even getting basic equipment or a new laptop when your old one is not performing is a headache. Treated like you did something wrong when you just need proper technology. PTO is simply not good. Modern external image but a VERY old fashioned top down business underneath. Not very innovative because people are too tired trying to keep up and too many ideas keep coming top down. CEO is owner so no balance, too many people nodding yes. Lots of peace and love talk covering up dysfunction.

Poorly Managed - High Turn Over

Pros

Learn digital advertising and how to survive in a corporate culture.

Cons

People are moved in and out of positions of management without having any interpersonal skills. The bottom line is literally all that matters. Company is hyper focused on day over day profit metrics without any really profit sharing or investment in employee capital. This work environment fosters a situation where employee burn out is almost guaranteed. Multiple talented individuals left the company for that reason. This is not a company to build a career at...this is a short term stepping stone to something better where employees are actually valued.
