Pros

Full of interesting and challenging projects, and technology was surprisingly quite up to date for such a large bank. Very professional staff and atmosphere, even during the phase when I worked there which coincided with a very difficult economic climate, and the fallout from their US crisis. Opportunities to move laterally into banking if one wishes. Zurich is a fantastic city in which to live and work.

Cons

not a lot. I brought a young family, and I suppose integrating within Swiss community was the main difficulty.

Good salary, highly technical content. The systems involved are complex and require lots of care since there's many touch points between systems.

Cons

Projects in banking are not the most exciting.

The work environment was flexible and I used to get comp days off for any extra work I had done.

Cons

Did not see much growth potential. Hard to get any trainings relevant to your field of expertise. Needs improvement at Management level.
